Parking at Central

Parking adjacent to the Central Library is available at both on-street metered spots and at surrounding off-street parking garages.

Parking Meters

Parking meters surrounding the library are in service from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.  Parking is free at all meters during the hours of 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.  Weekends and legal holidays are not metered.  During special events such as parades, festivals, or fireworks, or during street construction, meters may be bagged to prohibit parking.

Parking Garages

The most convenient parking is in the Court Street Garage, which is adjacent to the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building at 194 Court St.

If the Court Street Garage is full, there is also parking across the street at the South Avenue Garage located at 39 Stone St.

The first 2 hours of parking in a city-owned garage is $2.00 total, with each additional hour (or any part of) being $2.00 per hour up to the daily maximum of $10.00.
