Rochester Public Libraries Offering MiFis and Curbside Pickup

The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County and select RPL branch libraries are now offering contactless curbside pickup of library materials and open book drops for patrons looking to return library materials.

Here’s How It Works

Patrons can call a participating library to request materials for pick up. Library staff will find the available material and schedule a pickup time. Patrons are asked to show up promptly at their scheduled time to help maintain proper social distancing. See below for specific library location information

Arnett Branch Library

Call (585) 428-8214, Tuesday 11:00 am -2:00 pm; Thursday 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm; and Friday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Central Library

Call (585) 428-7300, Monday through Friday,  9:30 am – 2:00 pm

When arriving for a scheduled pickup, patrons should park along the side of the Bausch and Lomb Library Building on Broad Street. If Broad Street parking is unavailable, parking will be available on Bausch and Lomb Way. Patrons can enter the library from the side entrance on Broad Street, where they will show their ID to staff, then pick up their materials and leave. Library staff will be sanitizing all contact surfaces between scheduled pickups to help keep our community safe.

If you would like to return a large item to the Central Library that does not fit in the book drop, please contact the library to arrange a drop off time.
