Rochester Public Libraries Offering MiFis and Curbside Pickup

Beginning Monday, May 18, the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County will be offering more MiFi units and contactless curbside pickup of library materials. These services are offered for any library card holder who needs internet access at home or physical library materials (like books and DVDs).

Here’s How It Works

Patrons can call the library at 585-428-7300 to request materials for pick up. Library staff will find the available material and schedule a pickup time. Pickups will be scheduled between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM; patrons are asked to show up promptly at their scheduled time to help maintain proper social distancing.

When arriving for a scheduled pickup, patrons should park along the side of the Bausch and Lomb Library Building on Broad Street. If Broad Street parking is unavailable, parking will be available on Bausch and Lomb Way. Patrons can enter the library from the side entrance on Broad Street, where they will show their ID to staff, then pick up their materials and leave. Library staff will be sanitizing all contact surfaces between scheduled pickups to help keep our community safe.

Items available may be limited. The Rochester Public Libraries are not accepting returns or donations at this time. Please keep library material at home until the libraries can re-open after the COVID crisis.
