Black Is Beautiful is a fine art portrait photography exhibition created to honor the beauty of Black people worthy of being recognized, and full of dignity.
The work is rooted in community and visual storytelling. Presented across Geva Theatre Center and Rochester Central Library, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and experience Black beauty celebrated.
A public window into a community that has shaped regional and national craft culture for decades, revealing a way of working and living together grounded in attention, effort, and shared purpose. On display March 16- May 23. Reception April 25 from 2-4pm.
