Planning a meeting, conference, or social activity? The Rochester Public Library makes available its auditoriums, meeting rooms and conference rooms for short-term rental. These spaces are provided as a public service for use by individuals, institutions, groups, organizations, and corporations for a small fee, when not being used for library affiliated or sponsored activities.

Room Reservations Policy

The Central Library also offers spaces for private events such as weddings, nonprofit functions, cocktail hours, and private receptions. These events are able to occur when the library is closed to the general public.

Auditoriums

Kate Gleason Auditorium – Central Library

Located on the first floor of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building.

Maximum Capacity: 150

Auditorium Reservation Fees:

  • Non-Profit Rate, $50/hour, minimum two (2) hour reservation
  • For-Profit or Individual Rate, $100/hour, minimum two (2) hour reservation

Kusler-Cox Auditorium – Central Library

Located on the third floor of the historic Rundel Memorial Building.

Maximum Capacity: 100 (full room) OR 50 (front/stage half) OR 27 (back half)*

*The Kusler-Cox Auditorium is equipped with a removable dividing wall which will be implemented when requested. Select from the following room options: Front Half; Back Half; or Whole Auditorium.
